Scope Print, Display Advertising

In October 2018, Simon & Schuster released The Unknown Kimi Räikkönen — an authorised portrait of the Formula One driver — on the busiest weekend of the F1 calendar. I worked as a freelance designer to create the launch advertising: a full-page print ad for F1 Racing Magazine (issue 272, the world's best-selling F1 title) and a full suite of Google Display formats for the digital campaign.

Print and digital

The creative direction was clear: speed. The ads needed to feel like they were moving — a blurred track background, a go-faster treatment on the headline, the book placed on tarmac with proper lighting. Instantly readable at any size, and consistent enough that the same creative logic worked across a full-page magazine spread and a 300×50 mobile banner.

I worked from a rough mock-up to develop final artwork across both print and digital — handling the full range of Google Display dimensions alongside the magazine ad, all built to spec and ready for handoff.
