Vitamin C
The brief for this project was to produce something retro looking, but also slightly odd. The music promoter I was working with wanted people to do a double-take when seeing the poster.
I took a picture of a drummer from the 60s and removed his head. I’m not sure where the idea came from, but it was irresistible. I applied an illustrated style with a suitable palette and paired it with some wear & tear and texture effects to bring it all together.

Cuckoo
For this project, I worked with a music event promoter in Manchester, UK. They wanted to incorporate patterns into the design with monthly variations.
I wanted to allude to the name and settled on a skeletal bird with its typical outline made of a pattern which could be swapped out each time they needed a new poster.
Nobody noticed it was the skeleton of a budgie with a nose-job.
